Facilitation is a fast growing concept for Project Managers and organisations are beginning to realise the potential of harnessing its power. We are seeing more and more companies wanting to train their personnel in the art of Facilitation as it has so many facets to it and the benefits it brings from within (promotes confidence, leadership qualities, structure etc). It definitely sits in the solution space whereby providing a structured process, objectives can be achieved through collaborative workshops. It not only inspires empowerment but it also breaks the monotony of the boardroom meeting. A skilled facilitator can reduce unnecessary costs, productivity and waste of time during meetings. Facilitation is a specific skill that is used in project meetings to bring out the best and resolve the worst in a group, in service of a project goal.
