New Study Shows Benefits of Project Management Training

A new study from Parallel Project Management shows that professional project management training provides organisations with several benefits, providing existential evidence that proves management training improves overall project success rates in businesses of all sizes. Taking into account past delegates of Parallel Project Management Training Courses, the survey shows that approximately 89.65 percent of attendees believe that professional training courses benefit their organizations currently and in the long run. According to Parallel Project Management, benefits for training courses include the development and success of project goals, effective implementation of essential phases throughout the project’s entirety, realistic defining of the duration and budget, successful implementation of a structure approach of project delivery and work packages, and effective management of changes in project objectives and scope. This study corroborated with similar studies on the improved communication between the development of greater leadership quality awareness and stakeholders, with formal training courses helping attendees understand the material discussed in team and stakeholder meetings. Paul Naybour, Business Development Director of Parallel Project Training, explains, “In areas of breakdown structures, risk management, budget costs, and earned value management, attendees of the Parallel Project Management Training Courses learn how to effectively implement project management theory and help their project teams successfully deliver projects to clientele.” The study asked respondents about the effectiveness of the training courses with daily business activities and how professional management training benefited their business. Approximately 64.52 percent of the survey respondents reported that the training courses helped with their current work projects, and many delegates believed that training assisted with choosing and managing project teams as well as dealing with various personalities on the job. Many respondents viewed professional certification as a necessary part of progression in this field by equipping project managers with an in-depth knowledge of a successful project’s attributes.
