Networking for PMO People

We’re celebrating a year of PMO Flashmobs on the 2nd May in London – a year of informal more social meetups for people who work within PMOs in the UK. Over the last 14 years of my career I’ve found that attending conferences and seminars on PMO have been great, but what is even better is talking to other people who work in the same field. It’s finding out how certain organisations do certain things – knowing that within your own role you’re either on the right lines or perhaps need to go back to the drawing board. I like to call it ‘informal career coaching’ because the number of ideas that come from conversations with other like-minded professionals is a great use of my time. With the PMO Flashmob over the year we’ve met up in some of London’s cosy pubs to have a chat about what’s going on in our worlds. We’ve also launched the PMO Manifesto in that time too – supported by Ticketmaster for a fantastic launch and tried out a PMO World Cafe idea. At the next PMO Flashmob we’re going to be near Liverpool Street Station and we’re going to be trying out the first ever PMO Ignite night
