Project Management Storytelling

Project Management Storytelling

This looks like a good investment if you’re working within the 3rd sector –  experiential project management learning with professional actors! I caught up with People Deliver Projects who have become known throughout the project management community for bringing a unique approach to learning. It works really well with small groups  but the ones I’ve been involved with in the past have all been with larger groups. In case you’re not familiar, it uses story-telling and acting to set the “business scene”, the group can then become involved with the story through assuming the role of director and even “extras”. The latest one from PDP is all about change specifically within the third sector. The story is called Quicksand and here’s the opening chapter: I love new ways of learning about project management; for many of us who have been down the road of structure, process, method and tool training – we know that what we learn here is not always easy to adapt to the realism of delivering projects. I totally believe that most people who work in and around projects know what they would do if they were Jack.
