Igual de importante que el arranque formal del proyecto, es poder cerrarlo con éxito. El valor de una terminación adecuada del proyecto es el aprovechamiento de la toda la información y la experiencia acumulada a lo largo del proyecto. Y esto es cierto tanto si el proyecto fue un éxito o no. Es recomendable pensar en las actividades que se deben realizar para cerrar adecuadamente el proyecto, desde el momento que está creando el cronograma.
